I have a 2012 Suzuki 40 DFa outboard. Purchased in 2019 with 200 hours on it. I have never been able to get more than 4200 rpm's out of it at open throttle. Engine runs great. Had it serviced top to bottom. Plugs ,filters , fuel, correct prop. New lower unit installed as original owner bent shaft. Everything seems good. Gets right up on plane and runs smooth. Can't get moore that 4200 rpm's out of it at wot? Should be running between 5000- 6000 rpm's at wot. Any suggestions appreciated to increase rpm output.
