DT40 oil injection sieve

Hello,

I have a DT40 (1987 i think) with oil injection. In the filling hole for the oil tank, there is a sieve.When i try to remove this by pulling it up, it stops when its almost out.

Its there a trick to remove it?

Because I want to clean the tank, and the seave is in the way =)

Sorry for the delay.
I'm not sure what the "seave" is on your tank. All 6 of my motors do not have any type of screen in the tanks, but they all do have the oil level sensor inside (separate hole, with an o'ring seal that slides inside the tank hole, with a rubber cap on the outside).
This screen may have been on your earlier year motor.
