Suzuki DF40a water relief valve cover

Hi,
Just wondering if anybody has any hints or tips for removing a water relief valve cover on a DF40a. It seems to be really stuck on there. I’ve smashed the shit out of it and it’s not moving. I’m happy to destroy it trying to get it off as I’ve ordered a new cover. Maybe try drilling it out?? Any hints or tips??

warm it up good with a propane torch, then hose it down with a penetrating oil of your choice. when cool, beat the shit out of it some more. repeat as nec.
