Lost RPM's with DF60A

All of a sudden I cannot get more than 4200 RPM's out of the motor. Before I would cruise at 5000. Any ideas on possible causes? Thanks.

There are many many possibilities.....

Start with the basics that you would do anyway on a service - change spark plugs, oil and oil and fuel filters.

- Check the old plugs when you remove them to see if one looks different to the others.
- see what the oil you drain looks like.
- presumably you have an inline water separating fuel filter, so drain it into a glass jar and look for junk, contaminants and water. Put a new filter element in anyway.
- take the prop off, check for damage and for line wrapped around the shaft.

Thats a starting point.
