New boater, bought a 19' with what I found to be a Suzuki dt85. Apologies ahead of time if this has already been covered in a post. And if so, replying with the link would definitely help. Can't find any information on the engine that I have. The serial number isn't on the mounting clamp nor can I find the supposed aluminum plug on the engine itself. I'm just trying to find the serial number so I can find parts for this thing, just in case, and the right type of fluids to put in it.

You might post a few pics, for us to see what you're talking about (serial plate area and overall pic with cowling on, and off), maybe then someone can help identify it? The DT motors use a good 2 stroke oil in the injection/oil tank, and a good grade of marine gear lube for the lower unit (transmission), or foot of the motor.
