New Lower Unit Break-in???

Getting a brand new lower unit OEM from dealer! My question is their a need to break in the lower unit or just let her eat???

I change the gear oil after 10-20 hrs. just to get the boring bar shavings out then what ever the interval is in the manual. Also CHECK THE GEAR OIL LEVEL WHEN YOU GET IT BACK FROM THE DEALER!
