I have a 2008 DF50 Tiller that developed a recent issue:
I can open it up and run full RPM range WOT, but as soon as RPM backs down a bit - either de-throttle or hit a wave, etc, it won't come back to the full RPM range. For example running at WOT at 6200 rpm, if I back up to 4,000 it will stay there at WOT... If i subsequently back off to idle for a minute and then goose it, full RPM range will come back, until I back off again. Very odd to me.
I thought it may be fuel starvation issue, but I've tried all the easy stuff on fuel- replacing fuel lines, filters, opening gas cap to assure vent, etc. etc.
Has anyone run into a similar issue or have any advice on where to look next?
Thanks in advance!
