leakdown test %???

hey all,

my motor is soon to be out of warranty so i'm asking for compression numbers and leakdown numbers just for recording it.

question i have is what % allowance is good for leakdown?

motor is 200df with 180 hours on it, compression is circa 245psi across all 6.

10-15% is not considered abnormal...most will find in the 10% or less range on a healthy engine...up to 20% is considered acceptable on a cold engine...

if the compression is good leakdown numbers should not be necessary...

this could get interesting...
