  • low speed knock on new DF200

    Hi Folks,
Brand new DF200, breaking it in as best as I can! Only 7 hours on it right now so I am not holding it at high revs for very long. But at higher revs it runs perfect and smooth but as you start to back off the throttle and especially at idle in the no wake zone there is a definite knock in the engine. Thought it might be bad gas, put some dry gas stuff in the tank and filled it up with new gas. Still have the knock.
Dealer has said they will get to it but has been almost a month now, just trying to see if this is an issue with these or am I just lucky? Appreciate any thoughts on this.
    Thanks
    Joe B

''''''Has the dealer heard the knock, fuel usually produces a sharp high pitched rattle, if it is an internal knock inside the engine and it is only there on idle or light throttle, it may be oil pressure related. How pathetic is the dealer, if it is an oil pressure related problem don't use it, run it on the muffs and see if you can replicate the knock and see if it is inside the engine. Mate if your desperate to use it, wack an oil pressure gauge on it yourself for piece of mind.
