Yes it does, item #15 in the parts listing for that motor (from "purchase suzuki parts" above), is a throttle position sensor (TPS). So basically, the computer (ECM) uses this TPS, with the gear counting coil, and the three pulse coils, to keep your motor timed and firing properly at any throttle position, or rpm.
Many thanks for the reply Solarman, much appreciated. Could this cause an issue which would cause the engine revs to reduce to 3,000 limp home mode. Also looking in another thread at the oil level sensor causing the same problem.
