Good day all- I just joined this forum. Getting ready to repower with a single DF300APX2 engine. Blew the old 2 stroke 2 weeks ago. Engine should be arriving next week.
Very experienced marine & aircraft mechanic who prefers and is comfortable performing all maintenance.
Is there anything that I should be looking our for early on with this engine?

Excellent engines.

Suggestions are to run it in as per manual, and dont be afraid to give it some revs as soon as you are able to get those rings seated in nicely.

Prop it so you can get to an easy 6000rpm at WOT.
