Hi, I tried to find a repair forum but this is all I found. I am trying to troubleshoot my normally reliable 2017 Suzuki 20- about a week ago upon startup it was chugging some and then quit. Start again, same- and eventually just wouldn’t start at all. I tried these things: tracked fuel system- new filter on hose, new fuel filter on engine, switched fuel tank and fuel, made sure fuel is passing through both filters. Changed out spark plugs. Played with kill switch. Removed aftermarket tachometer/hour meter. Still will not start. Wondering if I need to bleed fuel system somewhere? Doesn’t seem likely since outboards usually after running out of gas just start up when you put more new gas into the tank. Any thoughts? If it is the kill switch is there a good way to test that, and would the motor even chug at all? I can get it to cough using electric start.
