I'm hoping to do the DF4 -> DF6 carb upgrade in the near future. It seems the engines are pretty much the same except for the jets used in the carbs. However, the 5 and 6HP have higher rev limits, which likely accounts for the increased performance (while using the same prop). The thing I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around is the "Over-rev. limiter". All three motors use identical part numbers in their electrical systems. So, is the over-rev limiter something mechanical rather than electrical? Or, does it even exist...?
