Low glowing temp lite

Still sorting out my new to me 2006 DF225. Searched many different ways here but didn't find anything. The engine temp light has a low glow after started, other lights go out completely. Could this be a bad ground situation or maybe a bad sensor? Haven't run it in water until I sort this out. Thanks for any advice.

Seems my gauge might be bad. Tested a newer one and all seems right.
