2017 model DF50. Longer cowlings cover a large part of the shaft that was exposed on earlier models and could be rinsed with direct water spray. Do these new, longer cowlings prevent salt water from contacting that part of the engine? Doesn't seem like they would and I'm concerned that I can't rinse that surface area.
