So I just hooked up a 98 suzuki dt200. When I went to test if everything was hooked up and wanted to see if the engine would start turning with the key I noticed that after I stopped turning the key and before the engine started that I would hear a light hissing sound. I did it again and noticed that it was coming out of the fuel pump assembly out of the end where there is a little rubber "nipple" if I touch the nipple it will his slightly. I think this is a pressure relief valve but want to make sure. Is this normal on this boat?
Also when I turn the key the alarm sounds for about 2 seconds and the rev limit light is on then turns off. then after trying to start the engine, and it not starting, the alarm sounds again and the rev limit light again appears. Is this normal, sorry if this sounds like a stupid question, but it is my first Suzuki and I did all the wiring and installing myself.
Here is a picture of the part, it's the nipple on the far right of the picture
