I am getting ready to flush my engine with a descaling agent with a closed loop circulation pump set up. I understand that some newer engines with flush ports do not require you to remove the thermostat in order to ensure complete solution penetration throughout engine. However I am wondering if I should remove thermostat during the process. Or maybe it is not necessary. I wil not be running the engine during this process. Any input would be greatly appreciated. 2007 DF150 490 hrs.
