I was cleaning up the boat today, checking fluids, making sure everything looked good under the cowlings, and decided to run to the store for some supplies.
While I was gone, a typical summertime pop-up thunderstorm decided to dump some rain on the house. It was a heavy rain, probably 15-20min, while I had one cowling off.
The engine has a plastic shroud with louvers, as well as a mesh screen. I assume it doesn't block all water. Is there a 'pea trap' style system on these intakes that will catch ingested water? Is there a simple way to check it?
Just want to make sure I didn't ingest water in the rainstorm before I crank it up again.
Thanks in advance
