df90A emergency (kill) switch bad???

Hello, first time on here. About 15 hours of running time after being reset , the oil change reminder light started to flash (port tac). I went through the reset sequence various times as per the manual (i have rest it 6 or 8 times in the past). I could not get the oil light to stop flashing. I then happened to turn over the ignition with the clip off the switch and the motor fired up and ran. I have dual 90A motors on my rig and both motors are run thru the same switch.

I assume i have a bad Emergency switch.

My question is, will the oil change reminder lights come on because the switch is bad???? And if the switch is bad, will i not be able to reset the reminder oil change light??
