I am seeking advice on what tool to use to compress the rings on a 1994 DT 9. I have tried a basic hose clamp as well as a hose clamp with plumbers tape with no success.

Someone please help. I am at a loss and can't find a specific tool to tackle this task. -
It is a "fuel hose" (also used on many radiator hoses) type hose clamp, with the sliding stainless sleeve on the inside to prevent the screw clamp from digging into the rubber.

Solar man, thank you I was reviewing the manual last night. I intend to get hose clamps the fit the piston perfectly and give this another shot.Comment
