2008 DF 90...Starts good, idles good, I can get the motor to around 2800 RPM, after that it starts studdering. I replaced high and low pressure fuel filters, the filter in the VST tank, drained all gas, and replaced fuel/water separator. Any help? Thanks!

It could be the neutral throttle switch (on the engine gear linkages).
If its broken, the ecu doesn’t receive the signal that tells it that the engine is in gear. So it limits revs to about 3000rpm. When it gets to 3000rpm the ecu cuts spark and restricts fuel flow, which makes the engine miss and fart and run very badly, like a race car does when its on the pit lane limiter.
worth checking that switch, they can break or get loose or damaged.
