1993 DT25 Not Peeing at idle. I have replaced the water pump housing, new impeller kit, and new thermostat. When I run it in a 55-gallon barrel I have to rev it up to get it to pee at idle. It only lasts about 30-45 seconds and then it stops peeing. have the water level well above the water pump because I understand that the water pump is not self-priming. I took the thermostat out and ran the motor in the 55-gallon barrel and it pees just fine at idle. If I put the thermostat housing back on it stops within 30-45 seconds. I ran a compression test and I have 125lbs on all three cylinders. I have pulled the powerhead off twice and there is no problem with the base gasket or the rubber grommets. It does seem to have some compression coming out of the block at the thermostat. I'm thinking maybe the exhaust plate is cracked or the gasket is leaking internally. Any help would be appreciated.
