8HP stalls at low idle

Well it's been a while since I've been on asking questions which means the motor is running pretty good thanks to all your help. It's starts pretty good most of the time and runs good except when I try to idle slow like for trolling. It purrs like a kitten at slow idle while in neutral but after putting it in gear it runs for anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes then quits. Has anybody had this problem or any ideas on what to do so it won't stall at slow idle. I'd really like to be able to go about 2mph and not have to use a drift sock.

Dirty filters ? contaminated fuel ?
