Hi all - I am new to the forum and this is my first post:
I have a 2006 Suzuki DF140. It has worked perfectly for years. Just this past weekend I put it in the water and it started right up. Once I got under way it started to run real rough and eventually killed. Once it killed - nothing worked, the starter would not engage and the T&T would not operate either. I screwed around with the battery connects. I got a spark and then it worked fine for about 2 hours - it would start run T&T worked fine everything. Then it ran rough again, eventually killed and same thing - no power to the starter or the T&T. Nothing would fix it unless I disconnected and reconnected the battery connections. eventually I would get a spark and it would start up fine and the T&T would function properly.
One additional piece of info. When the engine was running rough, if I hit the T&T button the engine would smooth out and I could accelerate as if everything was normal. As soon as I let go of the T&T button, the engine would run rough and eventually kill. Then - Nothing again.
