Look at the sticky at the top of the forum re props and motor height.
I have added a post that explains how we lift engines using the boat trailer jockey wheel. Done quite a few this way myself, many others have used the same method. It's simple, and quick. Did my DF115 this method not long after I got it. 30 minute job, taking things steady and including cleaning old silicon out and clean up after.
The skeg is easy strong enough to hold the motors weight during this procedure.
Re silicon for the bolt holes, use a good grade marine adhesive/sealant. From what I hear a popular choice in the US is 4200. We can't get tha here, we use Sikaflex 291 Marine sealant which is similar. Don't use the cheap clear silicon or white bathroom caulking it's not designed for the job.
