DF140 water tube

New to forum so please forgive if posting in wrong area.
When replacing impeller the water pick up tube fell out and was corroded and sheared off as it exists the housing. Any ideas how to remove the piece still inside. I believe it is item 7

According to my service manual (2009 DF90A) the water tube is accessed from the top. The power unit, lower unit and drive shaft housing has to come off. I have never done a water tube so there might be a short cut that doesn’t require the above mentioned disassembly. I would suggest you get a genuine Suzuki service manual. They are about $80 for a paper copy, you might also find a PDF copy online for less.
