DT40 tiller handle throttle cable replacement

I need to route both cables on a roughly 1985 Dt40, I'm hoping for help on what direction/orientation the throttle cables get installed for proper push/pull

Make sure you take plenty of pics as you are taking it apart, especially if you do not have the service manual.

Also, make sure you can get all the parts (many are no longer available) before you get started.

Unfortunately they broke when we hit a dead head on the river, the entire tiller handle snapped so I have nothing to follow
