DF 175 Outboard trim switch

Have a 2015 suzuki 175 outboard on 2015 2200 blue wave pure bay.

The trim button on the outboard goes up but not down. The trim on throttle lever works good both up and down.

Long drive to dealer from my location (75661). Would like to order new switch to replace existing and install myself. Is this possible?

Expect that the trim/tilt switch on your motor is similar to DF 140 that I changed.

The switch assembly has short leads on it with a quick connection that plugs in to the wiring harness.

The job is simple and quick, you can't screw it up.

agree pretty simple job
do yourself a favor and order the full service manual
if a good, emphasize good, is not close then you it would be important to know any number of

one other thing on the trim switch on the side of the engine
the switch is not all that difficult to take apart - little more challenging to put back together
my switch had a little salt water get into it
but with a little mechanical skills you can get it repaired until a new one can be obtained
