My new motor keeps stalling. Today I was in the inlet. Drifting for fluke with the motor running and it was windy. I got a little to close to the rocks and she stalled when giving it gas. This is not the first time she stalled. I just had the 100 hour service done and replaced the water gas filter also. I'm going to go to my Suzuki dealer tomorrow and talk to them. I'm having trouble with the piss hose also. It's pumps water then it stops. Never over heater. Anyone know what would be the problem ?

Stalling with a new motor sounds unusual..... Is it on a new boat or is it a repower?
If it only stalls at idle, have you checked the primer bulb when this happens? If it is soft or flat, you could have a partial restriction/kink in a fuel line, or in the breather, so check them. Mud wasps like building nests in the breather outlet.
One common possibility is the anti-syphon valve on your fuel tank has failed, they usually let fuel thru under revs as the flow is strong enough but at idle the fuel gets cut and the engine starves and stalls. Had to remove one on a mates boat for this reeason a couple years ago. Problem solved. Easy and inexpensive fix you can do yourself.
Water flow - could just be some sand or grit. Poke a length of heavy mono up there when the engine is running, this can loosen up any restriction and the water washes it out.
Talk to your dealer and tell them as much detail of the circumstances it is stalling and see what they say. And get them to check the water pump install.

I bought new water pump and two therm and I was going to pull boat and do that. Thursday I bring it to dealer by water. I just went down to boat and used the weed wackier orange line. I first cut a 4 ft pice. That went in but still no water coming out. I went home a got the hole roll. I must of got 40 ft in. It was hard but it worked!!!!! It's pumping like a guy drank beer. Thank you so much. I do have a question. Where is this valve that is near the therm ? I read that it can get clog with sand. Can I take it apart and clean it ?

I cant imagine where that line went or the potential for .......... Multiple disasters!!
Picture me, shaking my head in shock and amazement!
Anyway, whatever was blocking it sounds like it was dislodged but please, dont ever shove that much line in there again. No more than a couple of ft at the max in future!
Re the engine height, would need to see some pics. Though generally, lifting one hole at a time is often the safest approach to take, then test again.

Excellent! When you get the height right, everything just sits on the water better, sounds better and feels better thru the seat of the pants, hey!
You would know if its too high because if excess cavitation, so if thats not an issue, you are good. Can you see the cav plate now when on the plane at fast cruise speed, trimmed up?
Weird that the wp housing was cracked!
One thing to note for future ref is to always replace that housing when you replace the impeller, even if it gets a tiny little bit out of shape (you may not even be able to notice it) it can affect water flow. My attitude is that waterflow is the lifeblood of the engine and a few extra $ on making sure that part of the system is 100% is money well spent.
Not sure what the black tube does though. Presumably there is a reason Mr Suzuki put it there so I would suggest you put it back where it was?
