Hey guys , I’m new to this site . I have a question . I have Suzuki 2.5 hp outboard that I purchased last October . I noticed there was water in the oil . Took it back to the shop , they did a compression test and it supposedly tested fine . The shop said they called Suzuki and they supposedly told him it’s user error IE: I dumped the motor , it sits to low on my kayak or i took it in the ocean in rough water . None of which is the case . Supposedly they’re sending a rep to take it on the water to see if they can replicate the issue . I personally feel that a motor that is only 5 months old and used 20 or so times should be replaced . I know it’s not a big money motor . It’s the principle . Has anyone had a similar issue and how should I handle this situation .
