Whats the difference in a 2006 DF150 ECU and a 2006 DF175 ECU

My ECU is bad on my 2006 DF150 and I found an ECU from a 2006 DF175. The boats.net part numbers are the same in their parts list but the part numbers don't match the numbers on my ECU.
iboat part number is 33920-96jb0 for the 2006 150hp and the same number for the 2006 DF175. The part number on my 2006 DF150 ECU is 33920-96j10 . Will the DF175 ECU work on my DF150? Thanks for any information.

the ECU part pops up / click on the part then
scroll down toward the bottom of the page and it tells you the different 150/175 models it is interchangeable with

Check the engines listed as per the links above that the 2 different parts fit. Check them against your engine model and serial number as per the lists too.

This is going to be interesting , a df175 runs variable valve timing and a second cam sensor, plus the df150 has a code for model discrimination, one would think that when the key is turned on the ecu would be looking for a signal voltage from both the cam sensor and the oil control valve, also it wont see five volts on pin thirteen for model id.
You would think when the ecu does a system check the check engine light is going to store at least three codes and stay in fail safe, good luck with this one.

I put the 175 HP ECU on and it showed all the information about it on my computer. Hours, model id ,ect.. I test ran the boat yesterday and it ran fine except for some hesitation at take off..
