What is the extra white connector for on the interface cable? I installed the smis to sds adapter onto the interface. Just want to make sure I am not missing anything.

Trim. Its not needed to be connected on later engines after about 2012 as trim data is sent via main 4 pin plug. Since you didnt tell us what engine year yours is, cannot comment further -

Was having issues with trim readings, erratic readings would bounce all over the place. Even while engine was at a standstill. I decided to plug in that 2nd connector. And now the readings are working as they should. Not how or why but It's working now.Comment
