1986 suzuki dt40 runs rough when hot

Hello, new to this forum thank you for keeping the support going. I have a 1986 Suzuki DT40 and it starts "ok" but after it gets warm it seems to skip and eventually will die. The motor won't start when hot. I've cleaned the carb twice, there seems to be good fuel flow after the filter, there is spark to both cylinders, there is some unburned fuel on the spark plugs after this progression. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Maybe it's getting too hot?
Another possibility is something electrical doesn't like getting this hot?

What's the story on water pump & tell-tale stream?
