I have just bought the above cable second hand cable (removed from an upgraded boat) to connect my DF115 SMIS to my Garmin Chartplotter via the NMEA bus.
Having looked at the wiring I can see that the SMIS end of the cable has been modified to remove the HM4 Male connector (new with Female & Male SMIS connector) & add in a 2 wire flying lead.
My intention is to remove the HM4 Female connector & replace it with a HM4 Male connector (I have ordered the parts on eBay).
As the cable has been modified I would like to confirm the pin out colour code of the HM4 Male connector. Does anybody have the cable colour code? A diagram? or able to send me a photo showing cable colours used.
