  • temp lamp stuck on,engine over heats

Situation: df115 2003: the temp lamp stays on all on the time even when the ignition switch is in the on position with out the engine running. No check engine codes are displayed.
I have disconnected the exhaust sensor and the cylinder sensor and the appropriate codes are displayed, the temp lamp goes out but I believe that is a priority error ranking.
The pee stream is week/intermittent now. I replaced the impelled about a month ago and the Thermostat at that time also, the pee stream was just fine until this happened after running 10 miles and tolling for 4 hours.

The engine holder was replaced in October 2014, I have about 300 hours since then. Any help would be appreciated!!!

Most certainly, I have a BSEE degree! Looking forward to your guidance! Looking at the manual. These sensors appear to be NTC's. Are they 25K or 10K? I will measure and get back to you. Please let me know if you where headed in a different direction.

The reason the light is staying on one of the sensors has a very low resistance under 300 ohms, and the signal voltage will be around 200mv, that is around the voltage drop that the caution system will bring on the temp light. If it drops lower the check engine light will flash a 1.4 or 1.5 code. If the ambient temp is around 18c the resistance will be around 2500 ohms or around 2.5 volts on the signal line either sensor.

Thanks I did check last night and yes the temp light issue seems to be the Exhaust Man. Sensor (78 ohms), you where spot on. I do believe now that the no water flow issue is seperate. When replacing the impeller one of the 4 bolts snapped off and it was not drilled out and retapped, I am pulling the lower unit and seeing if this is the issue and will have it fixed anyway as I do alot of offshore fishing. I'll keep you posted.
