C10 Firmware programming help

Hi all. Moonlighter has been very helpful in helping me to resolve no data on my C10 and is sure it is a SW issue. I have a 2012 225 and am now using the interface cable with 2.9 sw. I am looking to downgrade the C10 firmware to be compatible. On the Lowrance site I see where the files for the 2012 engine are located and have downloaded them to a USB stick.
A couple of questions:
- How do I tell which is the correct file? Is it the one for the LMF 400? There are files listed for EP-15Fluid level, EP90R_v200, LMF200, LMF400, and SuzukiEngine interfacec2.9.0.
Once I know which file I assume I plug it into the back of the C10 and configure it it with the correct file. Is there a procedure anywhere on how to do this?

Jim, i would say that it is the software listed under the Heading:

Original C10 Software Version 1.1-50.2.116

On that page.

Download that file, copy to a USB stick, then connect it to the C10. I am not sure if it then uploads automatically but if it doesnt, i expect you would go into the C20 menu, find the files listing and select the USB, then select the update file and go from there. Its usually a pretty intuitive process, so follow your nose.

Or xheck the C10 manual , it might give some hints on how to upload files/software updates.

Thanks Grant. Update- I downloaded the original sw and read the manual telling me how do install. The issue that I have is that the manual says to install the .inf file but I don't see one in the sw download. I tried installing the sw anyway and it wouldn't do anything. I stopped in at my local Suzuki dealer and he said he checked with his tech reps and that it will not work with a 2012 engine. He said there is a Suzuki service bulletin out stating this. I told him that many people on the forum are running much older engines successfully. He is a good guy but is sticking with Suzuki. Can someone who has changed the sw on the C10 please tell me where to get the correct sw for a 2012. I have downgraded to a 2.9 interface cable and know that my gauge has the latest sw. The file on lowrance/Suzuki did not have the inf file. I'm at the point I'm sorry I cut a hole in my helm.

Talk to Mike at International Marine. If anyone knows whether you can get this to work, and how, it will be him.

If atbthe end of the day the C10 proves to be incompatible with your 2012 motor, you could consider returning it snd looking at alternatives such as the Garmin GMI-20 display. Pretty sure it fits in the same hole. Only downside is that it cant display the Suzuki fault codes or be used to configure the network.
