  • modular instrument 4" system display

Are there any utube or other instructional videos to view to help in understanding how to use the SMIS multifunction unit.
I find the instructional manual difficult to understand.

I haven't come across any videos, etc. I agree the manual was rather confusing; it's difficult to write clear manuals for that type of user interface.

Main thing I learned is that the display is built on the idea of "pages", where each page is a display. You can configure multiple pages to show different things, and then after you've setup everything the way you want it, you scroll between pages using the "Pages" button. Or I believe you can program the display to scroll continuously/automatically from one page to the next, so you don't have to push the "Pages" button.

When you're programming/configuring any given page, you can select whether to see one thing, or two things, or four things on that page.

When you are configuring any given page, you choose between "analog" display vs "digital" display, where the analog display draws a traditional gauge-type indicator for the parameters you select, and the digital display just shows a number value for each parameter. Some parameters can only be shown as digital. For example, I believe the Operating Hours cannot be shown as an "analog" display, only as a digital number value.

Keep in mind that the gauge menus are designed for all available Suzuki motors, and may include several programming options that are not supported by your motor. For example, the gauge allows me to select some parameter like "air pressure", but my particular motor does not produce that data. So if I select that parameter for display in the gauge, it's just going to show "0".

    Good luck!

      Good advice above!

If there are specific things you want to do but can't figure out, let us know what they are and someone will share their knowledge to help you out.
