  • Oil light on!

I'm getting a oil light on ( staying on- no blink)my Suzuki gauge and alarm. I checked the oil and its full. I know it under warranty. Tomorrow starts vacation for the kids and now boat has to be pulled. Is there anything I can check??? I just moved and can't find all the papers for the new motor so I went on line. Just want to make sure I'm reading this right. It said at 80 hours the light will come on. That is what I have 80 hours. It's telling me I will need a oil change at 100 hours. Is this correct ?

Probably is. If you do the oil change reset procedure and it goes off, you will know for sure. Im not sure if the procedure has changed with the latest motors, but it is usually set out in the owners manual.

I found the manual. It doesn't say in the service chart. Says 20 hours 100 so on and so on. The last page it said. 20 hours 80-100-200. It doesn't tell you what to do. Reset or change? I went down to boat and reset it. Light went out. Road tested. All good. Thank you so much Moonlighter, for getting back to me so quick. I'm starting to think Suzuki and Honda are one of the same motors. Great motors but to many dxx sensors!!!!!

And yes, you should change the oil now as well, then every 100hrs.
