I just received my motor and I cannot get it to start or even kick over. Followed the manual, ie.. choke on, gas on, transmission in neutral, kill switch is set, etc... Any suggestions? Dealer is over 100 miles away and won't look at it till end of AUgust.

You need three things for an engine to start. Fuel, air, and spark. Make sure your fuel pump is pressurizing the fuel rail if it is fuel injected. If it is carbureted make sure the carb working properly. And please don't overlook the obvious. Make sure there is fresh fuel in the tank. Make sure there is power to the starting system and ignition system. Verify you are getting spark. Ensure there are no air intake restrictions. If the engine is in good condition, compression, timing, etc it should start. Im not that familiar with the smaller engines but the basics are all the same. Don't overlook the simple stuff. Good luck.
