df 115 stripped lower gear oil hole threads

has anyone retapped there gear oil breather or drain holes, if so, what did you use i.e. tapped to larger screw, helicoil, keencert, true-cert? Also, anyone know the thread size on the drain plugs? 3/8 x ??

I just ordered two new ones

How stripped is it?... U can probably just chase the threads and clean them up if they aren't too bad

Take the screw to fastenal or somewhere with a good bolt selection and figure out which nut goes on.

The parts diagram says 10 x 7.5 so im guessing 10 mm

you will need to find out the pitch the 7.5 sounds like the length, my guess it may be either 10x7.5x1.25 or 1.5

The die that fits the new drain plugs is
1/8-27NPT
The head is 5/8 .625 ) or 15.85mm
The threads are 9.75 mm outside/outside
Overall length 10.9 mm
Length of threads 7.3 mm
