  • Gas gauge reads 1/2 off

Last year when I had the Yamaha motor my gas gauge was right on. After they put the 250 Suzuki on I ran out of gas and tank said 1/2 tank. When I took boat back to my Suzuki dealer for the 20 hour service I told them about the gauge. They replaced the gauge but not with a Suzuki gauge. Still ng. They took the sending unit out and check it. That was working. I had to tow boat to NY at the time. Now I took the sending unit out and the tank is 16 inch deep. I bought a new sending unit. The one that the float is in the center. Now I'm 1/4 tank off. Better, but not right. I was telling the Suzuki dealer here what happen. He checked it and said @. You do not have a Suzuki gauge. You should put one in. I just ordered it from boats. Net. $52 bucks. I should get it tomorrow. Is there anything else I should check? The ground is good, at tank, at battery. If this new gauge doesn't work and do not find anything, I was thinking to get a sending unit that is for a 15 inch tank.
