  • Poppet Valve...

Can anyone tell me where to find the poppet valve on a 2000 Suzuki DF50? I'm overheating after about 30-45 minutes of high RPM... Water flows fine out of pee hole, I've read that the poppet valve cools the engine at higher rpms, so I'm assuming this could be the problem... but can not locate where to find it! Any help appreciated!

What year is motor? It's true that the valve will get clogged and motor can over heat. The newer motor have a by bass valve so motor will not over heat. The valve is near the back of motor near the head or heads.

On my 2015. No, I would have to take the cover off. If you go to boats.net and use there dirgram. They have pictures of the hole head and mark all the parts with numbers, then go down page and that number will give you the parts name and parts # to order one. It's very easy. I'm shocked that water is still coming out of piss hole. Because the piss hole on Suzuki are so small. I saw so many clogged. Honda motors also. I have taken the hose off and repaced them with bigger ones.
