  • 2012 Suzuki DF90 no fuel on cylinder 2 and 3

2012 Suzuki DF90, less than 50 hours on engine. 4 months ago, VST tank replaced, injectors cleaned, fuel drained and filters changed from lack of use. Dealer water tested after repair service and said ok. Boat then went unused until last week. Started up fine and ran good for about 1 mile then picked up a miss. Put on trailer and found number 2 cyl was missing. Untimately number 2 and 3 now missing. Swapped coils around? All are good. All cylinders have spark. Number 2 and 3 do not have fuel. Swapped injectors around found that injectors are good. Thoughts?

    Solved!

If anyone ever has something like this - found out the fuel rail has 4 small tubes within the rail that feed each cylinder directly - number 2 and 3 small tubs were stopped up!

It sounds like you have picked up a tank full of dirty fuel, or that residue from the tank has been loosened and is now going thru the fuel system.

Do you have a Racor style water separating duel filter in your fuel line between the tank and engine? These really are a 100% essential addition to your system, and will by and large prevent the sorts of problems you've experienced.

Did you have to buy a new fuel rail or could it be cleaned?
