Hello,
We have a 2018 DF200 that we are trying to determine if it supports NMEA 2000?
We have a Simrad GO5 XSE that isn't reading the engine and the dealer is telling us that the engine doesn't support NMEA.

Suzukis have only supported NMEA2000 since about 2002.

But tell us more -

1. how have you got the Simrad hooked up to the engine?

2. What gauges are you running?

Yup, on the service paperwork it says "Engine does not support Nemma network so that portion will never read".

Unfortunately I can't say how the simrad is connected to the engine. We ordered and bought the boat brand new this way.

Are you asking about the standard set of gauges or what gauges are shown on the simrad?

What engine gauges are fitted to the boat? Digital or analogue? If you can post a photo it will help.

Also, which country are you in? Suzuki uses different gauges in different countries, and this makes the method of connection to displays such as the Simrad very different.

The ONLY way that a display such as your Simrad can display engine data is if they are both (the engine and the display) attached to the same NMEA2000 network.
