I have a new 115atlss with about 10hrs on it. When I first got it I checked the oil and it was about 1/2in. high on the stick. I drained some out to 1/4 high on stick. Checked the other day and was back to 1/2in. over. It dont smell like gas but it almost has to be. Any ideas? Thanks

One thing I did notice was I just Installed a fuel/water seperator and when I pump the bulb it only stays hard for a few minutes. But Im sure this didnt add that much fuel as I pumped it a few different times and oil level didnt change. Just weird bulb isnt staying hard.

I did the first 4hrs to the book. Actually it probably dont have 10hrs yet. I did the idle 15min. the 3000rpm for 1hr.45min. and the 4000 for an hour. After that it just says dont go WOT for more than 5 min. which I havent. I keep varying rpms when running. Im going this weekend for 2 days. Im going to change oil an go from there.

I have a trip planned this weekend. Im going to change the oil and start from scratch. I will put it up to the mark exactly. and check it after I run it a day. I will be using it 2 days in a row if it is a float problem how much will it rise?
Thanks guys

Yep that's where it is. I took the overflow hose off and fired the engine. After a few seconds I started getting drops then some spurts of fuel. I took vst off and replaced needle. Motor hasn't been making oil since. Mine would raise 1/4 inch or so on dipstick after 8 hours or so. Good luck2005 Carolina Skiff DLX 2007 Suzuki DF 115 4 Stroke

Get that attended to or issue will keep happening and oil diluted with fuel is very bad for any engines, especially new ones.

Mine runs from the top of the vst to the top of the crankcase. It ends up near oil fill. Just a simple black hose. I pulled it off there and placed it into a water bottle. Put muffs on and fired her up. Then just watched to see if fuel was coming out.2005 Carolina Skiff DLX 2007 Suzuki DF 115 4 Stroke

I must have a different motor. I have 2 lines off the VST. One comes from the pump on the valve cover the other feeds the fuel rail. And there is a pinkish colored 3/16 vinyl hose that drains into the cowling. I talked to a dealer an he said the VST cannot leak into the crankcase. If the needle an seat was leaking it would drain into the cowling. That my problem has to be the pump on the valve cover which is run off the cam.
