Changing Anodes 2005 DF90

Can anyone tell me please whether when the engine block anodes are removed and replaced, should the paper gasket have anything put on it?
I watched a Mechanic smearing the paper gasket with a blue Suzuki grease both sides of the paper before fitting them and tightening them up. Having rebuilt car engines etc over the years I have never heard of this one, he also caked the retaining bolt with what appeared to be the same grease.

Don't know about the gaskets....my DF150 uses O-rings. But the grease or some sort of lube is a good idea on the bolts. Stainless steel in alloy threads can gall fairly easy. I wouldn't think it necessary on the gaskets but I doubt that it will hurt.

Had a look today, found the 4 (2 by the rectifier 2 bolts per anode, further 2 in the block 1 bolt per anode)
Took one out as a test - engine serviced 12 months ago by Suzuki dealer - needs changing!!!!
I am going to change all 4 as a matter of course and service it myself, i will then know for definite its right

Well what started off as a '2 minute job' became an epic!
Anodes all changed but 1xbolt into the rectifier block had been cross threaded and stripped the thread - drilling and retapping later and sorted!

Can anyone tell me the correct torque please for the internal anode mounting bolts (aluminium carrier to rectifier) they are 10mm head with M6 threads (not the 8mm bolt that holds the anode to the carrier)
