Hey guys I had a 1987 DT 175 motor that blew a hole through the crank case. I purchased a "1994" dt 150 super six powerhead off e bay and put it on a few days ago. Everything hooked up and it runs pretty well aside for some carb adjustment that I have to do. My question is how can I tell what exact year this powerhead is? The guy I bought it from didn't know for sure but had 1994 written down. The motor is gray in color not the older white like my 175 was. Looking at Browns point I am getting mixed answers when I look at the diagrams. This 150 has the plastic wire cover and cut outs for the oil reset and the idle adjustment knob but no switch or knob wired in just blank holes. There is an ignition control box that is mounted over these holes. According to the diagram in browns point this is from years 89-90. Not exactly sure maybe my motor has been messed with in the past I just want to know what parts to order if I do have to sometime. Thanks.
