  • Where is the oil flow sensor?? Dt 140 1987

Hey there, just purchased my first Suzuki.
    140 dt , 1987.

I have one question of probably many to come...

I was trying to located the oil flow sensor and don't really know where it is..
I see the oil hose come out of the oil tank to an oil filter then directly to the oil pump.. Is this correct? Or should there be a sensor in line there?

I have also located a cable coming out of the main control module that goes out the lower right side of the module and then travels underneath the carbs to the other side near the area of the oil pump..
Just wondering if anyone knew the function of the cable.. There are 3 leads on the end..

Additionally a cable is coming down from in behind the black air intake area and goes down to the bottom of the case area as well... There are three leads on this as well and looks like I could connect this cable to the other one..
I can check the color of the wires if need be.

    Also have pics

    Just wondering on your thoughts...

    Thank you in advance!!

I was able to answer my own questions.. I checked
Y motor serial number and it's actually a 1986.. The 1986 model does not have an oil flow sensor.. Only an oil filter.

Anyone know how hard it would be to wire in an oil flow sensor?

As for the lose wires they were to be connected...
I think it was for a throttle position sensor.. With it unplugged the motor did not idle
Very well. I connected the leads and the idle smoothed right out..
