I have a 2006 DF115 and want to remove the silencer to get to the IAC valve. I see an upper bolt on each side to remove but the lower part doesn't want to budge. Are there more bolts that aren't obvious?

This issues u described in your last thread don't sound like the IAC but I'm not a mechanic. When mine went the motor acted fine every where but idle.
It required a bit of throttle to start.
It would idle but not ideal. And it would stall if I left off the gas fast.
When I took it apart it was stuck open about 2mm. I think it's open that far unless it is asked to change state then it closes
I Removed the IAC
I covered the port into the intake with something that wouldn't get sucked in. (I used a piece of hard plastic)
Then I started the engine... Tested the electrical connection for 12v
Then I hooked up the iac directly to my battery and it didn't change states.
It stayed open, so I ordered one off amazon for $49 bucks.
The one off amazon was identical, but the electrical connection was different... So I trimmed it off till it was just the 2 prongs sticking out... Applied a dab of silicone to hold it and it works fine. I posted the link last week on another thread. That's just me being cheap

Muskychris,
I did see your post. I want to check the IAC because it is one of the few things I think I can do myself. And it seems to be a fuel problem.
The low pressure fuel filter was changed last year and we have only put 10 hours on it since using 100% gas. The high pressure fuel filter looks too inaccessible for me to check. Again total engine hours are only about 135.
There is some stickiness around the low pressure pump outlet port where the fuel hose is disconnected. I thought about disconnecting the outlet hose and see if fuel flows when the engine is cranked, but don't know if it is okay to disconnect at that point if there is still fuel pressure in the system. However, if the LP pump is a problem I'm unsure how to get the engine to TDC on the number 1 cylinder before removing it.
There is fuel in the tank and the bulb in the fuel line from the tank is firm.
And is it the port cowling to remove? I thought the IAC valve was nearer to the starboard side.

Well I removed the port side to access the remaining screw on the air box
Once the air box is removed the iac is well above the lower cowlings and is easily accessible.
I'm not sure about the fuel pumps.
I changed my LP filter.... Didn't change the high pressure
My motor has thousands of hours... Never changed anything but the iac, and regular oil changes and gear oil.
Excellent motors
