2011 DF140 interface with Lowrance HDS-12

Hi All!

I just bought my first Suzuki outboard! so I guess now I'm part of thew Suzuki family . The outboard is a 2011 DF140. I got the analogue gauges with it . I own a Lowrance HDS -12 and I tough instead of installing the analogues gauges to connect the outboard to the HDS 12.

Is it possible and yes what do I need?

I guess someone before me tried it and discussed it on this forum . Can you please point me to the correct tread?

As an update to my sticky thread, Suzuki have recently released a new interface cable called a “Connect” cable. It enables full engine alarms and fault codes on Simrad and Lowrance displays.

It works with engines from about 2012 onwards. More specifically, with engines serial numbers 310001 and upwards. So would be worth checking your engine serial number to see if you can use that cable.

Otherwise if you have to use the normal interface cable (V2.9.04) you wont get the engine fault codes, service reminders and fault codes on your HDS.
